시각적 경험을 통한 공간의 기록들, 스며드는 빛과 채색된 그림자, 시공간을 여정하듯이 부드럽게 움직이는 빛에 의해서 생기는 공간의 유동적인 관계들, 동선들을 통한 소통을 섬세하게 이끌어내고 있다. 이를 통해 공간의 가능성, 재생, 교감 속에서의 유연한 흐름들, 유기적인 배치 안에서 구축되고 재해석된 풍경을 나타낸다. 그럼으로써 다양한 공간조각들이 연결되고 시적인 순간들이 만들어진다. 공간의 단편들은 마치 기억의 잔상들이 투명하게 중첩되면서 공간과 관계를 맺으며 하나의 장소가 되어 떠오르는 것처럼 재형성되어 또 하나의 확장된 연결통로, 일루젼을 이룬다. 이는 빛과 그림자를 통한 공간, 사이 공간들, 다양한 오브제와 만나면서 변형되어 만들어지는 무한한 공간들, 빛과 만나 스며든 색과 형상, 중첩되는 연결고리들로 표현된다.

나의 작업 속에서 주로 나오는 다양한 형태의 라인들은 확대되기도 하고 축소되기도 하며 다양한 시각적 경험으로 재구성되어 나타나는데, 이 안에는 공간의 표정, 색 등 추상적 풍경이 내재되어 있다. 잠재되어 있는 공간의 틈 속에서 발견한 빛의 언어, 오로라를 라인들 속에 함축적으로 담아 나타내고 있으며, 이는 여러 가지 요소들이 다양한 관계로 만나면서 색, 공간, 경험의 연결고리가 형성되는 것이다. 이렇게 연결되는 요소들은 중첩되는 색과 일루젼으로 재구성되어 또 다른 보이지 않는 공간 속 흐름과 사이 공간들로 표현된다.

그럼으로써 유기적인 동선들을 구축해 나가고 교감이 확장하는 과정을 나타낸다. 또한 내가 평소에 관심 있게 바라보고 경험한 건축적인 요소들을 통해 재발견한 공간의 기록들을 이끌어내어 또 다른 기호와 섞어서 재해석된 풍경으로 표현하기도 한다.
나의 작업은 ‘바라보는 것’을 통한 상상으로의 환원에서 출발했지만, 작업을 통해 단순히 내면을 반영하는 차원에서 멈추지 않고 보는 이로 하여금 또 다른 이야기와 상상으로 끊임없이 읽혀지고 다양한 해석으로 거듭나면서 교감의 경험을 공유할 수 있길 바란다.

The recording of these transforming light and space derived from my visual experience. I tried to embody the delicate light soaking through space, colored shadows, and the correlation between spaces linked by lights floating through time and space. As a result, the work as a whole represents a landscape reinterpreted and reestablished through an organic arrangement of spaces.

My work displays the process of spaces transforming into “poetic moments”; they resonate, reflect, bend, and circulate like an echo. When various fragments of spaces connect and reconnect, new relationships form between them. These fragments develop another expanded passage and a new illusion. The developing process is like recollecting memories; we recollect a certain place when transparent afterimages of its memory overlap with each other. In my work, this process is expressed through an overlapping of linkages that is formed within light, color permeating light, shadow, space, space in between, and space created through the interaction with objects.
